We are delighted to recognise Shannon Heritage with Business All-Star Accreditation in recognition of the company's outstanding contribution to the tourism sector. The company traces its history back to 1963 when it first began offering medieval banquets at Bunratty Castle, since then it has grown exponentially and now manages 8 visitor attractions across the island of Ireland welcoming some 850’000 visitors annually.
The company has developed its own unique capacity suite in support of its work which includes retail development, food & beverage, event creation & management, corporate hospitality, facilities management, new site development and of course customer service.
The adjudication panel were deeply impressed by Shannon Heritage’s work and we wish Niall O'Callaghan and all his team every success going forward.
- A Spokesperson on Behalf of the AIBF Adjudication Panel
The Shannon Castle & Banquets Heritage DAC portfolio has developed over the past 50 years from one product in 1963, which was the Medieval Banquet at Bunratty Castle, to a total of 7 day visitor experiences and 4 evening entertainments located in the Shannon Region.
On behalf of Shannon Heritage, we are immensely proud of achieving the Business All-Star Accreditation. We believe that the Business All-Star Accreditation is going to be a true quality mark for our business. As a company, we are very focused on setting standards, but those standards need to be constantly measured. We have been looking for something like this – an accreditation process which is tough, externally verified and allows us to constantly measure our performance. Securing the accreditation is a reflection of our fantastic staff and a testament to the work and effort they put in every day, to create memorable experiences for our 900,000 visitors a year. The opportunity to hear first-hand feedback from the panel, our employees, customers and suppliers through the reference check round was invaluable. I thank not only the Foundation but also my team and most importantly our customers and vendors. We look forward to continuing to meet and indeed exceed the standards set by the All-Ireland Business Foundation and collaborating with the TRIBE members.
