Rahoo

The All-Ireland Business Foundation has accredited Rahoo with Business All-Star Accreditation in recognition of the company's outstanding contribution to the development of standards in teaching.

Rahoo led by Ciara McGuane, an experienced and accomplished post-primary teacher is the preeminent professional development provider for teachers.

Rahoo was founded with the express aim of supporting teachers to be the best they can be in the classroom by giving teachers the tools to be better by making excellent professional learning accessible for every teacher – anytime, anywhere.

The first online courses were launched in the summer of 2018 with approximately 450 teachers over an 8-week period - all of which were allocated a dedicated Professional Tutor to support their learning journey.

The result of Rahoo's high-quality professional learning is enhanced teacher effectiveness and improved student outcomes.

We are delighted to recognise Rahoo with Business All-Star Accreditation, we found their case to be truly compelling, after all it seemed only obvious to us that teachers need to stay ahead of the latest developments in best practice in the art and science of teaching.

Rahoo meets and promotes this need by giving teachers online access to the latest in professional learning. Our analyses of the case for accreditation left us in no doubt of the growing demand for the service and therefore the scalability of the enterprise. We wish Ciara McGuane the founder of Rahoo every success going forward.

Message from Ciara McGuane - Lead Trainer & Researcher, Rahoo

With over 600 teachers working with us since January 2018, it was extremely important to assess the value we have added to their professional lives. Ongoing feedback of our online and offline services has been central to validating and improving our offering for teachers but it was important to seek independent assessment too.

I would like to thank the Foundation for their work in the assessment process and the feedback given as a result - all of which will be used to inform our future strategy. It has been wonderful to celebrate this success with colleagues and has given us a boost for the next phase of our journey. The accreditation has been a fabulous way to end a rollercoaster year in as a start-up business.
