About Odile Migieu, Founder and CEO
Welcome to the Migieu-Coade family! My name is Odile and I am the founder and CEO of ACET. I studied an MA in French Literature and settled in Ireland in 1972. In 1975, I founded ACET and since then the school has grown in size and reputation.
I love developing new courses and services and encouraging my team to participate in new projects. This reinforces the sense of belonging that is so important to us here in ACET. In my free time I enjoy walking and trekking as well as gardening and reading.
About ACET (Active Centre of English Training)
ACET is a family-run language centre, which was founded in 1975 by their CEO Odile Migieu as Cork Language Centre International (CLCI). As ACET expanded, Odile’s husband, Pat Coade, who has worked as a quality consultant, joined the centre in 1989. Their daughter, Joelle began working in ACET in 2000, after graduating in Management and Marketing.
Today, ACET is the oldest remaining school of its kind in Ireland. In 2012, they decided to rebrand from CLCI to Active Centre of English Training (ACET) to reflect on their modern, proactive and innovative philosophy. Their long-standing experience and customer-focused approach has given them a leading name for quality within the industry.
