Multi-award-winning artisan food producer Mr Crumb has won the All-Ireland All-Star Innovative Company 2020 accreditation.
The family-run business, located in the small rural village of Finea, Co Westmeath, was founded in 1996 and is famous for its international award-winning stuffing, and also makes breadcrumbs, flavored butter, and food-to-go products.
The company is a major local employer and exporter to many countries, including the UK, France, Germany, The Falkland Islands, and the US.
Invisible Chef
Mr Crumb has just launched a new range of ‘Cook & Serve in Pack’ hot food-to-go under the brand Invisible Chef which, they claim, provides an effective and consumer safe food solution for retail and foodservice businesses struggling with the effects of COVID.
Our unique selling point is that the products are cooked in the pack in any cooking appliance and two minutes later, they are cooked, with no handling of the product before or after cooking, says Mr Crumb director, Jason Coyle.
“We are on a fantastic journey building the Mr Crumb Brand in Ireland, the UK, and Internationally. The Business All-Star accreditation is a testament to the innovative product development, hard work, and dedication of our team over the last 24 years. It also validates our commitment to provide the best quality products and customer service.”
National Food Awards
Mr Crumb has won numerous national food awards every year for their products, including awards from Blas na hEireann, the Irish Quality Food Awards, The Great Taste Awards, and the Free From Awards. They have just won their fifth Great Taste Award over three years, allowing them to claim Great Taste Producer status for the very first time.
The Business All-Star accreditation is overseen by the prestigious All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr. Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.
” Mr Crumb has successfully navigated three rounds of auditing which proved their performance, trust, and customer-centricity,” said Kieran Ring, deputy chair, adjudication board. “The auditing process has left us in no doubt as to Mr Crumb’s suitability for Business All-Star Innovation Winner and their inclusion in The Register of Irish Business Excellence (TRIBE).”
The All-Ireland Business Foundation is responsible for overseeing the All-Ireland Business Summit, All-Star awards, ongoing All-Star accreditation, Thought Leader awards, and promoting peer dialogue among members.
The All-Ireland Business Foundation is a national body which accredits best-in-class Irish businesses as Business All-Stars. We believe best-in-class companies should be clearly identifiable so consumers can purchase with confidence.
