After three short years of being open, Longcourt House Hotel has achieved the prestigious All-Ireland All-Star 4 Star Hotel of the Year Accreditation from the All-Ireland Business Foundation.

Business All-Star accredited companies are defined as progressive, home-grown Irish businesses which meet the highest standards of verified performance, trust and customer-centricity. It’s an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria.

The Accreditation is overseen by the prestigious All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.

Responding to today’s announcement, Mario Puchowski, General Manager of Longcourt House Hotel says, “Receiving this Accreditation marks a real moment in the history of Longcourt House Hotel. Opening our doors in December 2017, we had amazing hopes and aspirations for the hotel, many of which involved making our mark locally, becoming a part of our local community & building a reputation for strong food. Today is one of the amazing highs that will be spoken about for many years to come”.

He says, “In 3 short years we could never have imagined that we would receive a No1 in all of Ireland All-Star Accreditation in the four star hotel category. 2020 has been a memorable year in so many ways. Led by Mario & Ela, the team have embraced all the challenges which have come our way. We’ve done this together, finding new and innovative ways to look after our guests and customers, in a very changed landscape within the hospitality industry”.

Dr Hynes said the Accreditation, which is now held by over 450 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards, but have nothing to measure them by.

“We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics”, she says.

Longcourt House Hotel is a family-owned hotel by well-known and respected couple James and Mary Long. The hotel provides its guests with comfortable and luxurious accommodation, quality dining, and acts as the perfect backdrop to host the events that matter to you.
