Cian Farrell of CTFL Global (CianFarrell.com) has been recognised by the All-Ireland Business Foundation as an All-Star Thought Leader in the field of Engineering Education and Mentorship.
Cian’s rapid transition from a student at Imperial College London just last year into a multirole elite professional has been a whirlwind rise that has brought with it a real sense of thrill and excitement.
The Longford/Westmeath border native launched his new start-up business (CTFL Global – cianfarrell.com) at the end of 2020 assisting students and academics with the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic brought to the field of academia.
Embarking on these challenges, Cian provided academic tutoring to individual students and groups of students from all corners of the world on a remote basis.
His work can also be found in multiple universities around the world through an Educational Consultancy service that he provides in the form of Educational Content Development, Overall Module Delivery, Modern Teaching Techniques, and Practical Demonstration Strategies.
In providing Academic Tutoring to students, Cian and his elite team of academics adopt effective teaching strategies that enable students to easily interpret the topic they are being taught.
Tutoring sessions are delivered from a live tutoring studio and a recently renovated engineering laboratory, enabling Cian and his team to deliver an enjoyable learning experience for the students.
In addition to academic tutoring, Student Development services are provided to enable students to grow and develop on an academic and professional basis.
CTFL Global assists students by enhancing their development with improvement in specific areas; Communication and Confidence Skills, Presentation Skills, Negotiation Skills, Career and Academic mentorship, and Speech & Therapy.
Cian’s Educational Consultancy service has also been adopted by academics and universities in various parts of the world. This has been most prevalent in the field of Engineering Education, with typical deliverables being Educational Content Development, Overall Module Delivery, Modern Teaching Techniques, and Practical Demonstration Strategies.
With Cian lecturing in Structural Engineering at Technological University Dublin, his teaching techniques during remote working times echoed through the academic industry and have become a key part of his everyday business. Some recent projects that Cian and his team have worked on are ‘Sustainability for Engineers,’ ‘Timber Engineering,’ and ‘Coastal Erosion.’
Reflecting on his All-Star Thought Leader accreditation, Cian said:
“I am thrilled to be recognised with All-Star Thought Leader Accreditation. This hallmark of quality gives my students confidence in my service, letting them know that they have invested in a trusted educator.”
“This achievement would not have been possible without my brilliant team. We have worked with hundreds of students over the past year and multiple universities, from Academic Tutoring right through to providing Educational Consultancy services for Post Graduate Engineering Modules.”
“Being a trusted and competent Business All-Star Thought Leader in the field of Engineering Education and Mentorship is something that we are incredibly proud of, and we look forward to getting more involved with Primary and Secondary Level schools over the coming year.”
Deputy Chair of the Adjudication Board Kieran Ring said in support of the announcement:
“Cian Farrell’s elevation from Rising Star to Thought Leader accreditation by the All Ireland Business Foundation is testament to Cian’s continued growth as an entrepreneur.”
