The All-Ireland Business Foundation has honoured Chris Kilpatrick with its Lifetime Achievement Accreditation.

The Accreditation is an outstanding achievement for Chris Kilpatrick as it recognises his hard work and dedication in providing a best in class service for KCC Group’s customers in addition to his contribution to Irish business.

This is an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria. The Accreditation is overseen by the prestigious All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.

KCC Group’s purpose is to make buildings work. They do that by planning, making, installing and maintaining complete door, access control, and internal glazing and partition solutions. All to help deliver buildings that work, and keep working, for everyone that uses them.

KCC helps architects to realise their architectural vision, they are trusted by contractors to successfully deliver compliant, on-time, successful solutions, and they are relied on by building managers to keep their buildings safe, secure and performing as intended.

Over the last 30 years, KCC has built up an experienced, dedicated team committed to understanding both how buildings work and how people use buildings, focussing on the detail, on getting every aspect right from specification to installation. KCC’s product range and expertise has evolved over the years to enable them to become a total solution provider for both architects and contractors.

As one who keeps a low profile, I felt honoured when Kieran rang me to advise me that AIBF had made the decision to bestow on both me personally and my company the Lifetime Achievement Accreditation. When I looked back at the roll of inductees who have preceded me, I was humbled to be in the company of so many esteemed captains of Irish industry, says Chris Kilpatrick.

He adds: “In accepting this accolade, I accept it on behalf of myself and my team. Covid has proved difficult for those involved in the Construction Industry but for me the last 12 months has shown that I have a great team around me who are always willing to go that extra mile if needed. This honour also rewards our loyal customers and clients who have had faith in KCC and stayed loyal to us and their support has enabled us to grow into the professional, cutting edge service company that we are today.”

Dr Hynes said the Accreditation, which is now held by over 450 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards, but have nothing to measure them by.

“We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics”, she says.

The All-Ireland Business Foundation is a national body which accredits best-in-class Irish businesses as Business All-Stars. The Foundation also oversees the All-Ireland Business Summit while promoting peer dialogue amongst our members on an ongoing basis.
