Bloodworks Sets Best In Class Standard For Covid Testing With Business All-Star Accreditation

Bloodworks hard work and dedication has resulted in them achieving All-Star COVID Testing Centre of Excellence Accreditation from the All-Ireland Business Foundation.

The Accreditation is an outstanding achievement for Bloodworks as it recognises that they are setting a best in class standard for Covid testing. Business All-Star accredited companies are defined as; progressive, indigenous Irish businesses which meet the highest standards of verified performance, trust and customer-centricity.

This is an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria. The Accreditation is overseen by the prestigious All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.

To receive such an accolade has made me feel proud and more determined. It is a positive morale boost for Bloodworks and the team involved. It is a reminder that the hard work the team does matters and is rewarded. We adapted to Covid and came out stronger, more humbled and more grateful, says Linda O'Connor, Phlebotomist at Bloodworks.

Kieran Ring, Deputy Chair on the Adjudication Board said in support of the announcement: “This certificate verifies that Bloodworks has achieved the All-Ireland Business Foundation’s All-Star Covid Testing Center of Excellence Accreditation. This accolade is in recognition of Bloodworks’s development of its Covid Center of Excellence in Skerries Co. Dublin. We wish to commend Bloodworks in the areas of trust, commitment, performance & customer-centricity. Bloodworks is hereby included in The AIBF Register Of Irish Business Excellence for 2021.”

Dr Hynes said the Accreditation, which is now held by over 450 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards, but have nothing to measure them by.

“We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics”, she says.

Bloodworks provide private blood tests to the general public and patients attending clinics overseas. They pride themselves on their professional service that is efficient and affordable. In order for the business to move forward in COVID times, they adapted and now offer rapid antigen and antibody tests, alongside Health Passport worldwide. The COVID center was developed with the concept of identity, isolate and inoculate. The COVID testing facility in skerries provides results to your phone on a safe and secure platform.

This reduces contact time with patients, app and tap swab and go, the process takes less than 3 minutes at an affordable fee. Bloodworks also has partnered with Health Passport worldwide, combining the most advanced and validated testing solutions, with secure digital technologies to provide a mobile Health Passport system. Using the Health Passport worldwide App, you now have immediate access to your personal COVID-19 status, which you can choose to display or scan whenever appropriate.

The All-Ireland Business Foundation is a national body that accredits best-in-class Irish businesses as Business All-Stars. The Foundation also oversees the All-Ireland Business Summit while promoting peer dialogue amongst our members on an ongoing basis.
